ADA BROWN APPOINTED TO DALLAS COURT OF APPEALS

Governor Rick Perry has appointed Ada Brown of Plano to the Dallas Court of Appeals for a term to expire in 2014. Ms. Brown is a civil litigator at McKool Smith PC. She previously was the judge of Dallas County Criminal Court No. 1—she was the youngest sitting judge in Texas, at age 30, when she took that position—and before that was a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Brown is a 1996 graduate of Spelman College and received her law degree in 1999 from the Emory University School of Law.
